A Stranger, A Minute Later

Being right here, I remember,

Seemed familiar, this corner,

Why was it so, I wonder,

Was then, it made me ponder.

Being right here, I remember,

Seemed familiar, this corner,

Smiles and giggles, that surfaced,

forging bonds, each other we gazed.

Being right here, I remember,

Seemed familiar, this corner,

Tears and worries that welter,

Was here, there was warmth and shelter

Being right here, I remember,

Seemed familiar, this corner,

Broken pieces that scatter,

My broken heart those shatter.

Being right here, I remember,

Seemed familiar, this corner,

It was the first time of something,

But in the end, there was nothing.

However,

There is still a ray of hope,

The end may not be a smile,

But the past was surely worthwhile.

He was a stranger, a minute later.
